OPRA Turbines buys real estate at High Tech Systems Park
OPRA Turbines, developer of advanced turbine technology and manufacturer of turbine driven generator sets, signed on the 14th of November for the purchase of 8000 m2 of land at High Tech Systems Park. The company with 75 employees is investing in a new production and test plant to facilitate its growth and is expected to start the construction of the new facility at the end of 2016. OPRA Turbines is the third company to buy land at High Tech Systems Park. It will become part of a community of 8 high tech companies that have set up offices or invested in facilities at the innovation campus.
OPRA Turbines bought a plot of 8000 m2 on the north-side of High Tech Systems Park, next to the new facility of HP Valves. “The location is ideal for us: focused on innovation and advanced technology and with the right facilities. High Tech Systems Park has a high pressure gas pipeline which enables us to develop and test our turbines locally, says Fredrik Mowill, CEO OPRA Turbines.” The company expects the construction to last from December this year till June 2017.
OPRA Turbines is a perfect example of a strong developing tech company. They design, produce and sell their own turbines. They supply complete systems, just as we do within Thales. We can combine our efforts to reach higher goals. Vincent ten Thij
