TTS retains gold NS CSR assessment

Thales Transportation Systems participated in the NS Group's three-year evaluation program on sustainability of its suppliers. The NS Group is an important customer of TTS and we are very happy with the result.

All suppliers are evaluated by EcoVadis on behalf of NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen) Group. In addition to TTS, other companies also participated. The assessment covered four themes:

1Environment

• Energy consumption & GHG (CO2), water, biodiversity, local pollution, hazardous materials and waste management
• Health & Safety Issues with customers and consumers
• Promotion of sustainable mode of consumption with customers and consumers
• Environmental impacts from product use and product end-of-life (e.g. dismantling)

2Labor practices

• Internal human resources: employee Health and Safety, working conditions (e.g. remuneration, benefits), social dialog, career management (e.g. training, recruitment)
• External human rights: child & forced labor, discrimination, fundamental human rights

3Fair business practices

• Corruption and bribery
• Anti-competitive practices
• Responsible marketing practices

4Sustainable procurement

• Suppliers Environmental performance
• Suppliers Social practices

TTS supplemented its answers with documented evidence, such as policy statements, (audit) reports, intranet and E-TV publications and, very importantly, the Corporate Social Responsibility Annual Report (CSR) of the Thales Group.

Golden score

Based on the completed answers and all additional attachments, TTS has achieved a score of 68 on a scale of 100. This score is equal to the Gold CSR Rating. Only 5% of all evaluated companies have been able to match this.
