Together we work on an inclusive labor market
The '99vanTwente' is the network of, soon 99, employers from the region Twente in the Netherlands, who work collaboratively to build an inclusive labor market in which the talent of everyone who can and wants to work is welcome. On Monday, September 19th was the kick-off meeting of the '99vanTwente', organized by the initiators of the network.
What will the network do?
The 99vanTwente is characterized by companies that take responsibility, share knowledge and show results. The companies want to fulfill the 'Participatiewet' (Dutch law for participation and inclusion), the 'Sociaal akkoord' (social agreement), their own CSR targets and they want to be good employers. The network focuses on increasing (sustainable) jobs for job seekers with disabilities / distance to the labor market in the Twente region.
How about Thales?
Thales is one of the initiators of the network. The intention is that it is quite normal that there are people with a distance from the labor market working within Thales. In particular, people with occupational disabilities. The first deployments have taken place at Thales in Huizen. The coming year we will use the knowledge and experience to expand the placements to all Thales Netherlands offices.
