Reminder - Visit our Thales Museum on Open Monument Day!

September 07, 2026

On Saturday 12 September, the Thales Museum in Hengelo will once again open its doors as part of the national Open Monument Day. Visitors of all ages are welcome to explore the history behind Thales and discover the evolution of radar, computing and fire control technology.

The museum features an extensive collection of models, systems and equipment developed by Hazemeijer-Signaalapparaten, Hollandse Signaalapparaten and Thales throughout the years. From early computing technology to modern radar systems, many exhibits are operational and each has its own unique story. Visitors can also enjoy demonstrations with a thermal imaging camera.

Founded more than 40 years ago by retired employees, the museum preserves and showcases the company's technological heritage for future generations.
